Build Lean SaaS privacy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

This policy explains how Build Lean SaaS and related DevelopJoy implementation workflows collect, use, protect, and delete information when you use buildleansaas.com, DevelopJoy support links, courses, skills, templates, and connected Google account features.

Who this policy covers

Build Lean SaaS publishes courses, skills, templates, and implementation education for AI-native software workflows. DevelopJoy provides related paid implementation support, pair-programming, client portals, project management, and workflow setup for clients.

Information we collect

  • Contact information you provide, such as name, email address, support requests, and intake notes.
  • Account information handled through authentication providers such as Clerk when you sign in.
  • Billing and subscription information handled by Stripe when you purchase DevelopJoy support.
  • Project information you choose to share, such as goals, tasks, repo notes, site URLs, analytics needs, and access instructions.
  • Basic site usage, diagnostics, security, and performance information needed to operate the websites.

How we use information

  • To provide courses, skills, templates, support, client portals, and implementation services.
  • To manage billing, onboarding, project updates, task requests, and client support.
  • To troubleshoot workflows, improve documentation, and keep implementation work secure and organized.
  • To comply with legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, and platform obligations.

Google account access and OAuth scopes

DevelopJoy may ask a signed-in user to connect a Google account so we can help manage client projects, review performance, troubleshoot local search visibility, and maintain project support workflows. Google access is requested only when a user chooses to connect Google from the app.

The current Google OAuth permission groups used by DevelopJoy are:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly: read Google Analytics account, property, and reporting access for performance review and project support.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly: read Google Search Console sites and search performance data for SEO, indexing, and content improvement support.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage: connect Google Business Profile so DevelopJoy can support local search, listing, and profile management tasks when a client authorizes it.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify: admin-only DevelopJoy Gmail workflow access for Austin/DevelopJoy internal operations. Client accounts are not intended to be asked for Gmail access.

Google sign-in may also provide basic identity information such as your Google account ID, email address, display name, and profile image so Clerk and DevelopJoy can create and secure your account.

Google API Limited Use disclosure

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing Build Lean SaaS and DevelopJoy features that the user requests or authorizes.

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, data brokerage, or generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning model training.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers needed to operate the service, such as hosting providers, databases, authentication providers, payment processors, Google APIs, repository tools, and communication tools. These providers are used only as needed to deliver, secure, and maintain the requested service.

Storage, protection, and retention

We use practical security controls such as authenticated access, private workspaces, environment variables, encrypted storage where supported by the platform, and access limits based on project need. Secrets and API keys should not be sent casually over insecure channels or committed to shared repositories.

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide support, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with obligations, or protect the service.

Your choices and deletion requests

  • You can choose not to connect a Google account.
  • You can revoke Google OAuth access from your Google Account permissions page.
  • You can request deletion of support records, account records, or connected workspace data where deletion is legally and technically available.
  • Some billing, tax, security, and legal records may need to be retained for legitimate business or compliance reasons.

Children

Build Lean SaaS and DevelopJoy are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
